Letter to Cecil Williamson

Kenneth Anger

A letter written in 1955 to Cecil Williamson of the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, has been recently unearthed in the archives of the museum in Boscastle. It is from avant-garde film-maker Kenneth Anger. Anger, aided by Cameron Parsons, had become obsessed with Aleister Crowley, and that year had travelled to Cefalu, Sicily to find and restore Crowley's notorious Abbey of Thelema.

Thankyou to Simon Costin and team. 11.8.19. Thumblink is Cameron Parsons as the Scarlet Woman in Anger's 'Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome' (1954).
